My name is Rebecca Johnson, I am an Army Veteran, and a member of the PVA. I am also a past board member.

For 10 years I worked with the Compensated Work Therapy program at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center {MEDVAMC} as the Payroll Technician ensuring Veterans in the program were paid in a timely manner. I have also served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Women Veterans of America.

I am a participant in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games since 1990. I enjoy the competition and meeting other PVA members at the games. I have also attended the Winter Sports Clinic.

Through my volunteerism I have received awards and recognition that I am extremely proud of. I was Volunteer of the Year in 2001 and received the Mayor of Houston’s Volunteer of the Year award in 2006, for my service to our Veterans at the MEDVAMC.

I look forward to working with the board again and appreciate your vote for Secretary.
