I was a Navy Seabee from 1987 to 1993. After discharging from the service, I utilized my training to continue my career as a union crane operator until a car accident in January of 2007 left me as a C-7 quad. I learned about the PVA during my rehab at the Houston VA and have been actively involved ever since. Most of the older members know me and my body of work throughout the chapter, but for our newer members, I have held numerous positions, both elected and appointed, on a local and currently national level, attending meetings both face-to-face and virtually. I will be moving back to Texas in early to mid 2025 and am looking forward to getting reacquainted with old friends, making new ones, and getting back on the front lines in Houston.
