Zachary Scott Jones I am 38 years old. I was born in Spring Hill, Louisiana, and raised in Sparkman, Arkansas. I graduated from Harmony Grove High School in 2004. Shortly after graduation, I joined the Army as a wheeled vehicle mechanic in August of 2004 upon completion of basic and AIT. I went to Airborne school in February of 2005. My duty stations include Ft Bragg, NC; Ft Eustis, VA; Seoul, South Korea; Ft Campbell, KY; JBER, Alaska; Ft Stewart, GA; and Ft Sam Houston, TX. I deployed to Iraq in 2006 for 15 months. I also spent 6 months in Kuwait in 2016. In 2017 I became sick and was admitted to the ICU in Alaska with a fever of 104. I spent a week in the ICU with that fever that the doctors could not get to come down. Once the fever broke, I was moved to the step-down unit, where I became paralyzed from my chest down overnight. After extensive testing, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Transverse Myelitis. I have been a T4 paraplegic since July of 2017. I am married to my wife of 19 years, Christine Jones. We have a 22-year-old daughter, Kennedy Jones. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, adaptive snow skiing, hand cycling, surfing, shotgun sports, and archery. I medically retired from the Army after 16 years on February 18th of 2020.
